For the first time in program history, and with their all-time highest score of 80.420, Oak Hills High School Winter Guard took FIRST place in their division at Championships! Every single performer was challenged in a new unexpected way, and they not only rose to the challenge, but exceeded it, and were eager for more. The staff is so proud of how much every performer committed to the goal.
About the 2025 program “vesuvIus”.
The story of vesuvIus unfolds due to ignorance, as warning signs go disregarded until destruction strikes. The journey shifts from calm beginnings to tense, rhythmic chaos, before peace returns as ash settles, illustrating the cycle of destruction and renewal. Musical selections include Choros by Ludovico Einaudi and Angus Dei by Samuel Barber and VOCES8.
