Congratulations on an incredibly successful winter season!
The Oak Hills Indoor Percussion Ensemble not only set a program record at Championships in their division, but they set two high scores for the ensemble in the Scholastic A Class. At Prelims, the ensemble received a record high score of 83.2 -- and then went on to surpass this score in Finals with an 84.9, placing fifth overall both days.
The members have worked so hard this season as they've taken on new challenges and grown as musicians and performers. The staff measure the group's success and achievement on their trajectory throughout the season: how the students grow, the work they put in, etc. -- and these scores are a testament to their dedication and passion for the ensemble and their program. They brought "The World of Comics" to life!
A couple of highlights regarding the final performance:
Received 83 and higher in all sub-captions during Finals, another record for the program (with scores as high as 88)!
Placed 4th in three out of four captions!
The spread between 3rd and 5th was just 1.05 points!
